When to see your advisor
Appointments are useful for schedule planning and course selection, major exploration, degree audit reviews, long-range educational planning, explanation and clarification of College and University regulations and procedures, review of academic progress and assistance in cases of academic difficulty, and assistance with various academic processes including Education Abroad, placement of transfer credits, leave of absence, etc.
If you wish to make an appointment, please go to our online appointment scheduler at: http://www.la.psu.edu/advising-appt/.
How to contact your advisor
Pre-major students are assigned to a specific advisor in their primary area of interest, and all appointments should be made with the assigned advisor. If you do not know the name of your assigned advisor, you should refer to eLION at https://elion.psu.edu/.
If you are a Liberal Arts student and your assigned advisor is not listed on eLION, you may call 814-865-2545 for more information. If you are interested in a different major and want to identify an advisor associated with that major area of study, please refer to the advisor list for details. Students enrolled in other colleges but have an interest in one of the majors or minors offered by the College of the Liberal Arts may also refer to the advisor list and schedule an appointment accordingly.
